When we released our very first motors from the Tengu line of heli motors, the 4530HS, we had spent over 18 months developing the custom stator that made it so great. After it took the market by storm, demand almost immediately emerged for us to release a line of motors for sub-700 class models, and the Tengu 4035HS was the other one of the first models we created.
It was adopted quickly by our Japanese f3c team around Masatoshi Iso, as a more controlled alternative to the Tengu 4525HS model, and was soon after discovered by the Scale community, looking for a motor that would fit in between narrow mechanics, preventing the use of 45-sized motors.
