Who We Are

EGODRIFT Co. Limited Hong Kong is an international joint venture of industry experts sharing a vision—and a passion for products of the highest quality, combined with true innovation. The EGODRIFT brand was founded in Europe in 2016 and incorporated in Hong Kong in 2018 to better cater to international markets. Our motors are manufactured in our factory in Jiangyin, China, and we proudly rely exclusively on the art of hand-winding and the skills of our team members, many of whom have been with us for years.

What We Believe

Winning is a nice to-have. In the competitive world of sports, many things can happen. Although we certainly enjoy seeing our pilots win, we are convinced that a lasting presence in this, or any, sport cannot be based on victories alone. We believe the goal of every pilot should be to present themselves—and the lifestyle we all love—in the best way possible.

Our Product Philosophy

In a world filled with near-identical products, copied and re-copied for a me-too chance at the market, we adhere to a very simple list of three principles for every product option:

  • Nothing without our own innovation
  • Nothing copied or simply labeled
  • Nothing that everybody else also already has

For the development and production of the few selected items we create, only the best ideas, materials, and methods are used. We test our equipment extensively with our pilots and teams (both works and independent) around the globe to bring you tested, reliable gear for use in professional tournaments. Our belief is that our focus on product quality will guarantee your support and trust in the long run, and we have no intention of sacrificing this procedure to increase sales quantities. Quality will always come first.

Partnerships

We believe that our partners—pilots, testers, engineers, suppliers, contacts, and most of all: friends—make us who we are. We select our partners with great care and base our relationships on what it all comes down to: humans. People who share our beliefs and values, dedicated to developing this sport further for all of us. Our partners (and everyone else) are treated with the utmost respect and loyalty. We will always help them with as much dedication and effort as we pour into our work every day. People and companies that spice up our lives with amazing product ideas are always credited for their achievements and have agreements with us that protect their interests in the long run. Testing & Co-Development

Great products are rarely a coincidence; they result from extensive testing, refinements, and a dedication to producing only the highest quality equipment. If a product fails to convince us beyond any doubt, it won't go on sale—simple as that. We collaborate with our pilots and teams worldwide to refine our gear, test it extensively, and prove its reliability as professional tournament gear. Before we launched our first motors, we stated they would not go on sale until we were 100% satisfied with the results of our development. It took 6 months and several iterations, each perfecting the product further. For our Tengu heli motors, that time was almost 18 months. We are convinced it was worth it. As we say at EGODRIFT: Good things take time.
